We are a private general dentistry clinic located at 211 N 11th St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our providers specialize in esthetic, restorative, and routine care.
Patient empowerment is at the forefront of our practice. What is a demibone, anyway?
Though we classify them with the skeletal system, teeth are not true bones. They lack bone marrow and cannot regrow if fractured. But they are distinct in ways the bones are not. They each contain a richly innervated inner chamber (much like a heart!). Their enamel is the strongest substance in the human body, even stronger than the skull bones that protect your brain. They move in response to a missing tooth or to external forces. They support the bones of the jaws and the skin of the lips and cheeks.
The name demibone is a nod to their uniqueness, these almost-bones, these more-than-bones.
(In case you were curious: medically, teeth are classified as ectodermal organs, like hair, skin, and sweat glands)
About the practice
We believe beauty should never be an afterthought.
We picked handmade Moroccan tiles for each room, insisted on natural limewash, and designed a floor plan that ensures natural sunlight for every patient during their visit.
